Wordlist Definition

Creates a wordlist, giving it a name.

Syntax

#wordlist <label>:<name>

<label>

  • tag (creates a text reference)

  • any text

    • Creates an annotation with the text as the label.

    • There is no visible text reference in the document.

    • It can be referenced in EES to create text references.

  • no label

    • Creates an annotation without a label.

    • The annotation has the generic label wordlist.

    • Does not create a text reference in the document.

    • It can be referenced in EES to create text references.

<name>

  • the text that appears after the highlighted text reference when using tag as the label.

White space

All white space is considered equal except for line feeds, which are used to separate command phrases and word list entries. Blank lines can be added for readability without changing the meaning of a Dictionary.

Example: Tag Label

Below is an example of a simple wordlist in a dictionary, where each word listed will be tagged as an Illicit Drug.

Example: Free text label

Below is an example of a simple wordlist in a dictionary, where each word listed will be annotated as an Illicit Drug with the label Drugs, but will not be highlighted in the document.
