After Installing Sintelix
After you have installed Sintelix there are a number of tasks that we recommend you perform.
|
Task |
More information |
|---|---|
| Connect to the Sintelix Agent |
If you install Sintelix and Sintelix Agent on the same machine, the connection is automatically made. If you need to check and change the Sintelix Agent connection, see Sintelix Agent Connections. |
|
Set up user accounts |
When you install Sintelix, an administrator account is automatically created. To set up additional user accounts see Set Up User Accounts. |
|
Set up an email account in Sintelix |
Setting up an email account in Sintelix enables users to reset their own password and receive email alerts. |
|
Set up multiple database locations |
Disk space available to Sintelix can be extended by adding more file system locations. By default, Sintelix will store all data under the location specified in WEB-INF/config/site-config.xml, under entry <data-directory>. However, you can add additional storage directories to expand available disk space. |
|
Configure libraries |
By default, Sintelix has a file system Server Library and a URL library (from URLs). You can configure the libraries to add additional libraries, add security to libraries and to add cache capability when downloading documents from a URL. In addition, you can add Mail Server library and a AWS S3 Bucket library. |
|
Set up data security |
See Customise the Security Model. You can also add security to libraries. See Configure and Secure Libraries. |
|
Set up a valid HTTPS security certificate |
To enable users to connect to Sintelix over https protocol with full authentication, the Sintelix server needs to have a trusted security certificate. Follow the steps in <Sintelix installation directory> The directory in which the Sintelix program has been installed, for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Sintelix.\security\readme-httpscert.txt for information on how to provide a certificate signed and trusted by your company. |
