Admin Settings
Introduction
Sintelix has a range of System Status and Settings to help Administrators to manage, monitor and define Sintelix operations.
There are two tabs that are accessible:
- Status, which shows the System Status.
- Admin, explained below.
Admin Tab
Below is a summary of all of the Admin Settings.
Manage User Accounts
Displays:
- User accounts used/limit
- User Sessions active/limit, and
- Web Service Sessions.
Lists the users managed within the Sintelix database, including the security privileges (see HelpManage User Accounts ).
You can:
- create / modify / delete / import /export users
- edit user email
- reset passwords
- kill sessions
- assign level of access and security privileges.
Shows any addition user accounts using different methods for identify and access management (see Set Up User Accounts ), including:
- LDAP
- Active Directory
- Windows domain single sign-on
- PKI, or
- OAuth for Azure.
Harvester Configuration
Allows you to update Harvester settings and Global Harvester Rule Sets (see Configure Harvester Settings ).
Email Account Settings
Setting up an email account for Sintelix allows users to manage their own passwords and receive email alerts (see Set Up Email Account for Sintelix ).
System Settings
Allows you to set the:
- Global Upload Size Limit
- Document Upload Size Limit
- Document Processing Size Limit
- User session timeout
- Web sessions per user
- Concurrent App execution limits

You can set the System default theme to light (default) or dark (see Set System Default Theme ). The system default theme applies to the login page and for all new users.
Users can choose their own personal theme under their User Account settings. See Set the Theme: Dark Mode .
Sets the proxy server for internet access. It will be used for Phone Home and for ingesting documents by URLs.
It will not be used for Harvester. Use Harvester Configuration to configure Harvester proxy.
Defines the URL for the Media Processing Server, which is required to convert and transcribe audio and video files into text-basedDocuments.
Before connecting to the Media Processing Server, you first into install and configure the Media Processing Server:
Sets the URL to the OCR Server.
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) converts image and scanned files into text-based Documents during ingestion.
Before connecting Sintelix to an OCR server, the OCR server needs to be installed. There are two OCR server options: Sintelix OCR server or ABBYY FineReader Server.

The Question Answering (QA) search feature let's you ask a question and receive answers about information contained in a Collection. See Question Answering for more information about using Question Answering.
In Question Answering Status and Settings you can:
- Change the search mode (CPU or GPU enhanced)
- Configure a remote server connection to process QA queries
- Test the performance of the available devices (Benchmark devices)
To use the GPU Enhanced model, you will need to have a Nvidia CUDA GPU device and to install the Sintelix GPU Driver and Plug-in. See Install GPU Enhanced Mode.
Allows you to enable Private agents, which are disabled by default.
Private Agents allow users to install the Sintelix Agent on their desktop, see Install the Sintelix Agent on a Separate Machine .
Once enabled, a Private agent connection requires the agent password (set during installation) to authorise the connection (see Manage Private Agents ).
Sintelix can connect to a custom raster map server to display maps in documents, network tables and the network graph.
This configuration can be used to connect to an online raster map server, or to connect to an offline map server supplied by Sintelix.

Data Source Definitions
You can connect to a range of databases to ingest structured data.
Before connecting to a datasource, you need to have the appropriate licence and have installed the appropriate Plugin for the type of database. (See Install Data Drivers for Structured Data Imports for instructions for installing and creating a new datasource.)
You can set up an External API configuration to ingest tweets from Twitter (see Set up an External API configuration with your credentials ).
Backup
Shows the status of the backup location.
Allows you to define scheduled backups to a location.

Shows the status of previous backups and allows you to start a manual backup at any time.

Audit Logs
Allows you to select items to include in the audit log and document audit logs (see Audit Log Settings ).
Allows you to select options for the document audit logs, including access, edit and delete (see Audit Log Settings and Document Audit Log ).
Allows you to enable Harvester Page logging (see Audit Log Settings ).
System logs
Allows you to view and download logs (See System Logs ).
